The places where the air compressor has a combustion or explosion accident include gas storage tanks, gas pipelines, cylinders, and fuselages.

Cause Analysis:

There is too much lubricating oil in the cylinder, and the gas containing a large amount of dust is absorbed in the cylinder to form carbon deposits. As a result, the valve plate of the air valve cannot operate normally. Carbon deposits can block the piston ring in the ring groove, reduce the cross section of the air flow channel and increase the resistance. The pressure exceeds the use value, which causes some components of the air compressor to exceed the withstand limit and cause an explosion.

The gas storage tanks and gas pipelines are severely corroded, which causes the wall thickness to become thinner and the strength to decrease. The method can withstand the set pressure and explode. After the air compressor is overhauled and installed, the cleaning is incomplete, and there are stains and impurities in the pipes and valves between the gas soup and the gas storage tank, which can also cause combustion and explosion.

When there is a large amount of carbon deposits, it will cause an explosion. Leakage of the exhaust valve will cause high-temperature gas to flow back to the cylinder, generating a large amount of high temperature near the exhaust valve to cause an explosion.

The condensed oil and water in the cooler and gas storage tank are not discharged clean in time, which will cause local stains or sparks and explosion

Disposal measures:

Control the amount of lubricating oil to make the amount of lubricating oil in the cylinder appropriate. Regularly check the quality and quality of lubricating oil and regularly check and replace with new lubricating oil to improve the lubrication effect and keep the exhaust temperature within the specified range. Clean up oil stains frequently. Use high-efficiency air filters to prevent foreign matter from entering the pipe network and remove stains in the filter in time. Frequently drain the cooler, gas storage tank, oil-water separator, etc., to ensure that the system is unimpeded. In the pipeline from the air compressor to the final cooler, the gas flow rate should not be less than 10m/s-12m/s to keep the machine in a good lubrication state. Choose the right lubricant.

Shenzhen Ingersoll Rand air compressors frequently check the rust of the pipe network. If serious rust is found, immediately remove the rust and take corresponding anti-rust measures. Regularly check the pipe network maintenance. Corresponding parts such as gas storage tanks and gas pipelines shall be protected by proper rust prevention measures to prevent contamination by corrosive substances.

Perfect the safety device. Improve and adjust safety devices such as safety valves, alarms, and pressure regulators to ensure their reliable operation. Once an accident occurs and the operating parameters exceed the standard, it can take off, alarm or stop automatically.
