The safety valve is a relatively special branch of the valve family. Its particularity is because it is different from other valves that only play a role of switching, and more importantly, it plays a role in protecting the safety of the equipment. With the rapid development of my country's economic construction, there are more and more equipment projects with pressure control. In view of the need for equipment to relieve pressure, safety valves play a vital role in protecting the equipment.

The opening and closing parts of the safety valve are normally closed under the action of external force. When the medium pressure in the equipment or pipeline rises above the specified value, the medium is discharged to the outside of the system to prevent the medium pressure in the pipeline or equipment from exceeding the specified value. . Safety valves belong to the category of automatic valves, which are mainly used in boilers, pressure vessels and pipelines. The control pressure does not exceed the specified value and plays an important role in protecting personal safety and equipment operation. According to the "Safety Valve Safety Technical Supervision Regulations", the periodic calibration of safety valves is generally at least once a year, and there should be corresponding provisions in the safety technical specifications.

What are the validation methods of the air compressor safety valve:

1. Offline calibration of the calibration station: install the safety valve on the calibration station, and then use the calibration medium to open the safety valve, and confirm the opening pressure by observing the pressure gauge. However, this method cannot take into account the verification of back pressure safety valves and safety valves for high or low temperature media.

2. Online instrument verification: It is to measure the downward spring force acting on the safety valve by external force, and the opening pressure of the safety valve can be calculated by this method. This method generally does not affect production and does not require system pressure. Changed, the detection speed is relatively fast, and more convenient and convenient, but this method cannot detect the sealing performance of the safety valve.

3. The effect of the boosted jump method: the safety valve is installed in the system, and the system artificially boosts the pressure until the safety valve jumps to observe the opening pressure of the safety valve. This verification method damages the sealing surface of the safety valve. Larger, the risk of operation is also greater than others.

Whether a thing is useful or not, sometimes depends on where it is located. If it is not used well, it will be a big safety hazard. Air compressor safety valve is such a product. Under what circumstances can an air compressor safety valve not be used?

1. The pressure will increase rapidly and the discharge speed of the safety valve is lower than the pressure increase speed.

2. When there are strict requirements for sealing.

3. The material in the container will cause the safety valve to fail. If the material in the container contains a lot of solid particles, the safety valve will not be tightly sealed after it is seated.

4. When the materials in the container are highly toxic or have other properties that hinder public safety.

The above conditions are not suitable for the use of a safety valve alone, a bursting disc or a combination of safety valve and bursting disc is required.
