What is the reason why the motor current of the screw air compressor is too large, and how to deal with it?

Everyone who uses screw air compressors will probably encounter a motor current that is too large. The normal current of the air compressor is the rated current plus 1.15%. So what is the reason for the high current of the air compressor motor? Next, Kerun Energy Saving staff will analyze it for you.

The reason and solution of too much motor current are as follows:

1. The compressor motor bearings are not lubricated. Treatment method: grease the motor bearings;

2. The overload protector of the air compressor fails. Treatment method: replace the overload protector of the air compressor;

3. The ambient temperature of the air compressor is too high. Treatment method: air compressor should be installed with air duct exhaust equipment;

4. Poor insulation of air compressor motor. Treatment method: remove the motor to do insulation strengthening treatment;

5. The air filter of the air compressor is blocked. Treatment method: replace the air filter.

6. Poor contact of air compressor starter contacts. Treatment method: maintain the starter contacts of the air compressor;

7. The three-phase voltage of the air compressor is unstable, under-phase, and the voltage is too low (less than 10%). Treatment method: Please improve the power system of the plant;

8. The air inlet of the air compressor is blocked. Treatment method: clean and maintain the air inlet of the air compressor;

9. The air compressor motor bearing is damaged. Treatment method: replace the motor bearing;

10. The air compressor motor wiring is loose. Treatment method: re-lock the motor wiring;

11. The temperature controller of the air compressor motor fails. Treatment method: replace the air compressor temperature controller
