What should be paid attention to when changing the oil during air compressor maintenance?

After a long and continuous operation of the air compressor, when the specified maintenance time is reached, the air compressor must be fully maintained. The most frequent air compressor maintenance item is to replace the air compressor oil. What should I pay attention to when changing the oil of a compressor?

1. It is forbidden to mix air compressor oils of different grades.

2. The old oil must be drained when replacing. It is strictly forbidden to add or filter and reuse methods because although the color of the compressor oil does not change on the surface, the consumption of additives may have exceeded the limit.

3. If there is not much sludge, fill in 1/2 of the new oil, run for 15 to 60 minutes to drain, and then fill up with new oil and run normally. If the sludge deposits too much carbon, after disassembling the oil cylinder, manually remove the sludge and carbon deposits, and then clean it with a special cleaning agent, but after cleaning, it must be dried with dry air, and then add cleaning oil to clean and run for 100 to After 200 hours, drain off the cleaning oil, and finally add new oil to run normally. Otherwise, it may not only destroy the performance of oil additives, but also cause safety accidents.

4. When changing the oil, replace the oil bypass filter, oil filter, oil and gas separation fine filter, coarse filter filter elements, etc., and check whether the filter, air filter, one-way valve, temperature control alarm, etc. are intact .

5. The quality of new oil products should be monitored well, and inferior oil should not be added during maintenance.

6. The recommended oil change time is not a fixed value. The aging of the oil can be accelerated due to the influence of equipment, environment, oil temperature, and mechanical impurities. In order to prevent carbon deposits and coking, pay attention to the color, viscosity, oiliness, etc. of the lubricating oil during use (every 300 hours), but the color cannot be used to judge the quality of the oil.

7. If the oil temperature is too high, the reason must be found, and the protection device must not be thrown off in order to maintain production. General reasons for high temperature:

(1) The oil cooler water pipe (water cooling) is too dirty or clogged, and the radiator is too dirty (air cooling), resulting in low efficiency of the cooler;
(2) The temperature control valve of the oil cooler does not operate, and the oil temperature sensor fails. If PLC control is used, the problem of the integrated circuit board cannot be ruled out;
(3) Poor coordination of moving parts;
(4) Too high ambient temperature leads to high lubricating oil temperature;
(5) The exhaust pressure does not reach the set value. Reasons: wrong selection (selected a small one); intake filter/oil-air separator is blocked; intake throttle valve does not operate or malfunctions (in the closed part of the intake Valve); serious leakage in the screw;
(6) The oil return path is not smooth. The oil filter is blocked (pay attention to the quality of the oil filter)! Insufficient oil supply;
(7) The compressor speed is not enough, and the V-belt is too loose, which will also cause the air volume to drop;
(8) The quality of lubricating oil is poor or the oil is dirty, and the lubricating oil is aging and invalid;

If the oil temperature is too high, first check whether the oil volume is enough? Then check the cooler, then whether the spring in the temperature control valve is broken, and finally whether the oil filter is blocked (the oil gap is too small).

8. It is necessary to record the time of replacing lubricating oil and other components on the spot, check the records, and identify the responsible person.

9. It is found that the evaporation loss of lubricating oil is large, and the oil and gas separator should be checked for perforation first.

10. Screw compressor oil must be managed by a special person to prevent oil mixing accidents in daily life. Tighten the lid of the barrel after the oil is used up, and do not have tools for opening the lid nearby.

11. Simple test method for oil viscosity: Take a clean glass, dry it after washing, and place it at an angle of about 45° to fix it. Use an old eye drop bottle to take a little drop of new oil onto the glass plate and record the flow time at a certain distance. Use the same method to take the old oil to test the flow time. When the time difference between the two is 15%, the oil must be changed.
