The principle of air compressor oil is to form a protective film between the two friction surfaces, which can avoid direct contact between metals, thus buffering the friction effect, playing a lubricating role, and the machine can operate normally. This kind of protective film can be physical adsorption film, chemical adsorption film or oxidation film. The thickness and strength of the film directly affect the lubrication of air compressor oil.
Screw air compressor features:
For most Ingersoll Rand air compressors, the temperature of air or gas after compression of each section is usually more than 170-180 degrees, but there are also piston compressors with high thermal strength whose outlet temperature is more than 220 degrees. In order to ensure the safe operation of the compressor, extend the oil change period, reduce the friction and transmission energy consumption, the piston and rotary compressor oil should have good thermal stability, prevent the formation of carbon deposits, and have good corrosion resistance, emulsion resistance and foam resistance.
According to the design type, environmental conditions and operation load of compressor oil, choose the type of air compressor oil. Generally, under long-term high temperature environment, choose L-DAB oil, high-speed water-cooling or low-pressure, small compression ratio compressor oil with low viscosity. In general, when we wholesale air compressor oil, we don't know what kind of air compressor oil we want to use. We can consult the manufacturer of the sold machine or the air compressor oil manufacturer's recommendation.
Make up oil for air compressor:
Under the operation state, the oil level of compressor shall be kept between the lowest and the highest oil level, the oil will affect the separation effect more, and the oil will affect the lubrication and cooling performance of the machine less. In the oil change cycle, if the oil level is lower than the lowest oil level, the lubricating oil shall be replenished in time. The method is: ① after the internal pressure such as shutdown is released (confirm that there is no pressure in the system), pull down the main power switch.
② Open the oil filler on the oil-gas separation tank, and supplement proper amount of cooling lubricating oil.
③ Refer to the regular maintenance table for the oil change time after the normal operation of the air compressor.
