How to solve the air compressor tripping? For customers, once the machine jumps and affects production, they will inevitably become anxious. Today, let’s take a look at the solutions for air compressor tripping:

 (1) Check whether the head and motor can rotate freely by manually cranking the air compressor to judge whether the resistance increases. When the ambient temperature decreases, the viscosity of the oil increases, and the resistance increases accordingly, the starting current of the motor becomes larger, and the starting time of the air compressor is prolonged. The current ambient temperature can be determined based on the exhaust temperature.
 
The time for the motor on the air switch to start is slightly extended while ensuring safety to meet the extension of the air compressor startup time when the oil viscosity increases, so as to ensure the normal start of the air compressor. Please do not extend it too much. The conference affects other electrical equipment.
 
(2) Oil coking in the machine head is a common phenomenon in screw air compressors when the oil quality is poor or the temperature is high. Due to the coking of the machine head, the friction resistance increases, the load of the unit increases, and the current increases. In severe cases, the screw and rotor are glued together by oil coke, and the unit cannot rotate freely.
 
(3) The function of the oil cut-off valve is to cut off the oil injection pipe in time when the air compressor is stopped to prevent the residual pressure in the oil and gas barrel from pressing a large amount of lubricating oil into the machine head, causing excessive lubricating oil in the machine head. The most direct way to solve the problem of excessive lubricating oil in the machine head is to open the machine head, release part of the lubricating oil in the machine head, and repair or replace the oil shutoff valve.

2. Electrical device failure:

The star-delta transfer switch failed, causing the air compressor to jump immediately after it was started. During the use of the air switch, it will also be affected by the vibration of the air compressor and other reasons, which will cause the set start time to be shortened, and even start to jump instantly.

The failure of the inverter will also cause the air compressor to trip, the instability of current and voltage, and the high temperature of the inverter will cause the air compressor to trip.

To determine whether there is an electrical failure, this is more complicated and has a certain degree of danger. Therefore, it is not detailed here. Please find a professional after-sales staff for testing.

3. Failure of unloading valve:

Air compressor unloading valve function: When the air consumption changes, the intake valve adjusts the opening degree of the valve body through the control system to match the air consumption. It is the valve that controls the air intake and non-intake of the air compressor (solenoid ).

There is another kind of malfunction, which is difficult to find, that is, the unloading valve opens in advance. Before the air compressor is started, the unloading valve is closed. When the air compressor is started, the unloading valve opens slowly. However, if the opening time is a few seconds earlier than the preset time, the starting current of the air compressor will increase and the air compressor will trip. To find this fault, maintenance personnel must accurately grasp the start time of the air compressor.

4. Lubricating oil causes high temperature trip:

The temperature control bypass valve controls the on-off of the spool through the temperature sensing probe, and judges that the opening temperature of the temperature control bypass valve is within 70±10℃; after long-term use, the accuracy of the probe is reduced, and it cannot operate at the normal temperature point. The hot lubricating oil from the air compressor body directly returns to the air compressor body without passing through the cooler. The temperature of the air compressor also rises, which is difficult to control and triggers high temperature trip; there is another situation, when there is impurities When the lubricating oil passes through the temperature-controlled bypass valve, the valve core is stuck and the valve core cannot be completely closed. Part of the lubricating oil directly returns to the air compressor body without passing through the cooler, resulting in the cooling of the entire air compressor The effect is not good, triggering high temperature trip.
