1. Air compressor is abbreviated as air compressor or air compressor.
With the development of mechanization, it is widely used in various fields.Strengthening the regular maintenance and maintenance of the air compressor is an important guarantee for its normal operation.
 
2. Working principle of screw air compressor
The Ingersoll Rand screw air compressor unit is mainly composed of a pair of intermeshing female and male rotors and a shell. Its working principle is similar to that of a reciprocating air compressor. It is a volumetric type, but the working mode has changed. If the cavity formed by the tooth grooves of the female rotor and the housing is compared to the cylinder of a piston air compressor, the sliding of the spiral teeth of the male rotor in the tooth grooves of the female rotor is equivalent to the reciprocating movement of the piston.
In the screw air compressor, two rotors with spiral grooves (male and female rotors) mesh with each other to compress the gas. The axes of the two rotors are parallel to each other and are installed in a high-strength cast steel shell. The two end faces in the shell are provided with intake and exhaust ports at angular positions, and the intake end of the rotor is equipped with a thrust bearing to limit the axial movement of the rotor. The cogging of the female rotor meshes with the male rotor, and is driven by the male rotor, so that gas enters from one port of the rotor, and is compressed and discharged from the other port. The working process is generally divided into three stages: suction process, compression process and exhaust process.

3. Analysis of automatic shutdown during operation
1). Power supply grid factors
The machine itself is equipped with safety protection devices such as undervoltage relay and phase failure relay. When the grid voltage is below 83% of the rated voltage (420V) or the power phase sequence is incorrect and the three-phase power supply lacks phase, the unit will automatically trip and stop. .
2). Exhaust temperature is too high
(1) Poor environmental ventilation. When there are wall obstacles near the air compressor that affect air circulation, it will cause poor heat dissipation; when there are similar heat sources near the air compressor, it will also affect heat dissipation; when the doors on both sides are open, the heat dissipation effect will also be significantly reduced. These three conditions will cause the temperature of the air compressor to rise and automatically shut down.
(2) The oil level of the cooling oil is too low and the cooling oil, oil filter, and oil and gas separation components are too dirty. At this time, they should be replaced or cleaned according to the situation.
(3) The fan belt is too loose or broken. At this time, adjust the belt tensioner or replace the belt.
(4) The surface of the radiator is too dirty, resulting in reduced heat dissipation and poor air circulation: the inside of the radiator is too dirty and partially blocked, causing poor circulation of the cooling oil. At this time, the radiator should be cleaned.
(5) The temperature control valve fails. The valve is always in the open state, and part of the cooling oil returns directly to the air compressor, and cannot pass through the radiator. The temperature control valve should be overhauled or replaced according to the specifications.
(6) The oil cut-off solenoid valve cannot be opened or the opening is insufficient. At this time, check whether there is voltage at both ends first, and if so, check whether the mechanical part has card issuing failures and eliminate them.
 
3. Exhaust pressure is too high
The rated exhaust pressure of this machine is 12MPa. When the pressure is too high, first check whether the butterfly valve mechanism has mechanical failure and whether it is stuck in the maximum opening position. Exclude if there is any, if not, check whether the loading solenoid valve is leaking or broken. If it is normal, check the upper and lower limits of the pressure switch and readjust it to the rated range.

4. The daily maintenance of the air compressor

1. Daily maintenance and treatment of insufficient air intake
(1) The reduction of the air compressor speed reduces the exhaust volume: because the air compressor's exhaust volume is designed according to a certain altitude, suction temperature and humidity, especially when installed in high altitude areas, it must be strictly in accordance with the use Explain that the installation is correct, and the intake pressure and exhaust volume should be checked once after a period of time (about 60 days).
(2) The fouling and clogging of the intake filter reduces the exhaust volume, so the filter should be cleaned regularly.
(3) Cylinders, pistons, and piston rings are severely worn and out of tolerance, which increases the clearance and leakage, which affects the exhaust volume. When it is under normal wear, the wearing parts, such as piston rings, need to be replaced in time. If the installation is incorrect and the gap is not appropriate, it should be corrected according to the drawing. If there is no drawing, experience data can be taken.
(4) Check the tightness of the stuffing box, whether the stuffing box itself is qualified when it is manufactured; secondly, when installing, pay attention to the center of the piston rod and the center of the stuffing box; generally add lubricating oil at the stuffing box, it can provide lubrication, The role of sealing and cooling.
(5) The influence of the failure of the air compressor suction and exhaust valves on the exhaust volume. This kind of problem may be due to manufacturing quality problems, such as valve plate warping, etc.; second, air leakage due to serious wear of the valve seat and valve plate. In daily inspections, the flatness of the valve plate and the gap between the valve seat and the valve plate should be measured to make it within the normal range.
(6) The spring force of the gas valve is not well matched with the gas force. If the elastic force is too strong, the valve plate will open slowly, and if the elastic force is too weak, the valve plate will not close in time. This not only affects the air volume, but also affects the increase in power and the life of the valve valve plate and spring. Regularly check the preload pressure and working pressure of the spring.

2. Daily maintenance points to avoid abnormal sound
(1) When installing the air compressor, pay attention to the gap between the legs of the cylinder and the force of the bolts to ensure good support.
(2) Regularly check the air compressor cylinder clearance (generally, the clearance coefficient of the low-pressure cylinder of large and medium-sized air compressors is about 8% or less, and the clearance coefficient of the high-pressure cylinder can reach about 12%). The position of the upper and lower dead points shall be adjusted in time to ensure its normal operation.
(3) Regularly check the connection of crankshaft bolts, nuts, connecting rod bolts, and cross head bolts in the crankcase, as well as the shaft diameter) and exhaust valves.
