How to prevent high temperature damage of air compressor oil separator core?

The oil separation core is one of the important parts of the screw air compressor. It separates the oil and gas, allows the oil to return to the internal circulation of the air compressor, and allows the air to be discharged for the user to use. At the same time, the oil separation core is also a fragile consumable, and needs to be replaced in time after expiration to avoid aging damage and failure to spread to other components.

During the operation and use of the air compressor unit, different failure problems will be encountered, and the burning of the oil core is one of them. The failure of the oil separation core is actually ignited. So, how to effectively prevent the high temperature damage of the air compressor oil separation core? What measures are used?

1. The air compressor that has been out of service for a period of time, or when the temperature is low in winter, before starting the machine again, add a small amount of lubricating oil to the main engine to allow the main engine to have lubricating oil and cooling when it starts.

2. In daily operation, pay attention to the exhaust temperature of the air compressor. If the exhaust temperature of the machine is too high for a long time, find out the cause of the high temperature and solve the problem. Let the air compressor run under the normal exhaust temperature to avoid the long-term high temperature of the machine, which will cause the oil circuit system failure and cause the fire.

3. Electrostatic discharge and open flame will destroy the oil separation core. Check whether the grounding of the air compressor is normal, whether the oil and gas barrel is connected to the ground of the machine, and when installing the oil separator, pay attention to whether there is any foreign matter on the surface of the oil and gas barrel that is in contact with the asbestos pad. For example, a rusty surface, a surface that has been coated with sealant, or other foreign matter affects the grounding of the oil.

4. Check whether there are fibers, foams or other flammable materials in the electric control box, and prevent the electric arc generated by the various parts in the electric control box from igniting these materials, thereby causing fire and burning the machine.

5. The high temperature problem of the air compressor with temperature control valve should follow the principle of eradicating the problem. The temperature control valve should be replaced if it is broken. Do not short-circuit the temperature control valve at will.

6. Due to the low exhaust temperature, the oil-injected rotary air compressor generally does not have the problem of carbon deposits, but as a circulating oil, it should have a good anti-oxidation effect to ensure a certain life. For oil-injected rotary air compressors, special oil or circulating oil with good anti-emulsification should be used. Antioxidants should have low enough volatility at normal compressor temperatures to keep the lubricating oil until the oil change time.

The above are the six preventive measures to prevent high temperature damage to the oil separator core of air compressors. As the core equipment of industrial production, air compressors must not be sloppy in daily operation and maintenance. Good maintenance can ensure good operation.
