Air compressors are general-purpose mechanical equipment, and are now widely used in various fields. Air compressors have a large or small displacement due to the motor power and the length of the main shaft. The following is the insufficient displacement of the air compressor proposed by the customer Do some simple analysis of the phenomenon:

One, the selection is too small

Many users do not know the specific gas consumption of their production at the beginning, so they blindly select the type according to their own estimates, which causes the exhaust pressure to fail to rise, which is lower than the rated exhaust pressure, which cannot meet the normal gas use of the factory. You can first check whether there is a leak in the pipeline, and close the valve behind the gas storage tank. If the unit can quickly increase the pressure, open the valve, the pressure will drop quickly, and finally it will be at a pressure point. It is confirmed that the air compressor unit selection is too small, and the unit's commissioned gas volume is less than the actual gas consumption of the production. The solution is to add a new unit to make the air compressor's displacement 10-20% greater than the air consumption, the most scientific.
 
Selection of working pressure (exhaust pressure):

When the user is preparing to purchase an air compressor, first determine the working pressure required by the air end, add a margin of 1-2 bar, and then select the pressure of the air compressor (the margin is considered from the installation location of the air compressor For the pressure loss of the pipeline distance to the actual gas end, the pressure margin should be considered in a timely manner between 1-2bar according to the length of the distance). Of course, the size of the pipeline diameter and the number of turning points are also factors that affect the pressure loss. The larger the pipeline diameter and the fewer turning points, the smaller the pressure loss; on the contrary, the greater the pressure loss. Therefore, when the distance between the air compressor and each gas end pipeline is too far, the diameter of the main pipeline should be appropriately enlarged. If the environmental conditions meet the installation requirements of the air compressor and the working conditions permit, it can be installed near the gas end.

 Air compressor failure

If there is no leak in the compressed air pipeline, that is the problem of the air compressor itself. The following problems are caused by the insufficient displacement of the air compressor:

1. Whether the maintenance is timely. The air compressor displacement has decreased. After eliminating the above possibilities, first look at whether the air compressor has been maintained? How long has it been maintained? If the environment is not ideal, the air compressor should run for 2000 hours to filter whether it is blocked. For light ones, use compressed air to remove dust; if the blockage is serious, replace with a new air filter.

2. Whether the intake valve is fully open. The air compressor exhaust volume drops, check the unit, such as just maintenance, eliminate the three filter and oil problem, then first check the air compressor intake valve, remove the intake hose, turn on the air compressor, watch the intake valve Is the opening degree normal? Generally, the theoretical design service life of the intake valve is 100,000 operations. Because each manufacturer uses different brands and batches, the quality is also different, so the failure of the intake valve may cause the unit's displacement to decrease.

3. Motor failure. After the above-mentioned troubleshooting of the intake valve failure, the exhaust volume of the unit still remains unchanged, and whether the motor is malfunctioning should be considered. Due to a local short circuit in the motor coil, or bearing wear, the motor shaft is worn. As a result, the motor speed is lower than the rated speed, and the air compressor displacement is reduced. The motor coils, bearings, etc. should be repaired, and the air compressor displacement should be tested after repair.

4. Changes in the environment have led to a decrease in exhaust gas. It was previously used in inland areas. Because the factory was built in the northwest region, the air compressor was used in the new factory along with other equipment. The altitude increased and the environment became humid. All of these may This leads to a decrease in the unit's displacement.

5. The belt driven by the air compressor is too loose, causing the transmission efficiency to drop. Need to adjust the drive belt, if it is damaged, replace it with a new one. Choose an appropriate positioning method according to the fit between the pulley and the shaft, install the pulley on the air compressor head shaft and the compressor shaft motor, and first fix and lock the air compressor head pulley.
