1. Selection of air compressor installation location

The selection of the air compressor installation site is the most neglected by the staff. Often after the air compressor is purchased, it will find a place at will, and it will be used immediately after piping. There is no prior planning at all. Little do they know that such a sloppy result will result in future air compressor failures, difficult maintenance and poor air quality. Therefore, a proper installation place is a prerequisite for the correct use of the air compressor system:

(1) Choose a wide place with good lighting to facilitate the space and lighting required for operation, maintenance and repair.

(2) Choose a place with low air humidity, less dust, fresh air and good ventilation. Avoid water mist, acid mist, oil mist, dusty and fibery environments.

(3) According to the requirements of GB50029-2003 "Code for Design of Compressed Air Stations", the heating temperature of the machine room of the compressed air station should not be lower than 15°C, and the temperature of the machine room during non-working hours should not be lower than 5°C.

(4) When the air compressor suction port or unit cooling air suction port is set indoors, the indoor ambient temperature should not be greater than 40℃.

(5) If the factory environment is poor and dusty, pre-filter equipment must be installed to ensure the service life of the air compressor system parts.

(6) When a single compressed air station with a displacement equal to or greater than 20m3/min and a total installed capacity equal to or greater than 60 m3/min, lifting equipment for maintenance should be installed, and its lifting capacity should be based on the air compressor unit The heaviest part is determined.

(7) Reserved passage and maintenance space. According to the requirements of GB50029-2003 "Design Code for Compressed Air Stations", the width of the passage between the air compressor unit and the wall is 0.8-1.5m distance according to the displacement.

2. Placement basis of air compressor

The foundation of the air compressor should be built on hard soil, and the level of the foundation should be smoothed before installation to avoid vibration. If it is installed upstairs, anti-vibration measures must be taken, otherwise vibration will be transmitted downstairs or resonance will occur, which will easily cause harm to the air compressor and buildings. Generally, the vibration speed value of screw air compressor is below 11.2mm/s (belt drive) and 7.1 mm/s (coupling drive). No special foundation is required. It is recommended to build a screw air compressor with a height of about 120mm and a length and width slightly larger than the empty The platform foundation of the bottom area of ​​the press to facilitate sewage discharge.

3. Cooling system

The water quality standard for the cooling water of the water-cooled air compressor shall meet the requirements of GB50050 "Design Code for Industrial Circulating Cooling Water Treatment". When there is softened water available in the enterprise and the system is economical and reasonable, the circulating water in the system can be softened water. The main purpose is to prevent the calcium and magnesium plasma in the water from chemically reacting in the cooler due to high temperature, and finally form scale in the cooler, thereby affecting the cooling efficiency of the cooler. The pressure of the cooling water is generally between 0.15 and 0.4 MPa, and the outlet temperature of the cooling water should be kept between 6°C and 10°C greater than the inlet temperature. The cooling water inlet pipe should be equipped with a filter, and the inlet and outlet pipes should be equipped with pressure gauges, thermometers and stop valves.

Air-cooled air compressors must pay attention to their ventilation environment, and do not place the air compressor near high-temperature machinery or in a closed space with poor ventilation, so as to avoid shutdown due to high exhaust temperature. If it is placed in a closed space, it must be equipped with air inlet and exhaust equipment. The air inlet is located at the lower part of the machine room, and the exhaust outlet is located at the upper part of the machine room to facilitate the circulation of cold air. Generally speaking, the air intake and exhaust air volume must be greater than the air compressor heat dissipation air volume.

4. Power system
When powering the air compressor, ensure that the power supply voltage is correct.

According to the power of the air compressor used, choose the correct power cord diameter. Do not use a small power cord, otherwise the power cord will be burnt due to high load and high temperature. The power cord must be a multi-strand copper core cable, and one phase of the three-phase four-wire system is the grounding wire.

The air compressor is best to use a set of power system alone, especially avoid using it in parallel with other large power consumption systems, otherwise it may cause the main motor of the air compressor to overload and stop due to excessive voltage drop or unbalanced three-phase current , Pay special attention to high-power air compressors. And the load of the power supply network should be uniform, the voltage fluctuation should be within ±5%, and the three-phase voltage unbalance should be allowed within ±1%. There should be no connection point between the power supply cable from the power distribution cabinet to the air compressor.

Select the appropriate air switch according to the power of the air compressor to maintain the safety of the electrical system and maintenance. The grounding wire of the power system should be ensured to be erected, and the grounding wire should not be directly connected to the compressed air delivery pipe or the cooling water pipe to avoid leakage and short circuit problems.
